Project work IV- Responses of the Centre Head of the Training Centre


Responses of the Centre Head of the Training Centre:-
       I.            Qualification -

 The educational qualification of the centre head is Master in Business Administration.
    II.             Work experience:-

The centre head has three years work experience in the industry. From last three years, he has been running the training institution of Apollo Medskills.
 III.             The Apollo Medskills skill development-training centre Moosarambagh Hyderabad is offering seven courses of health sector to unskilled youth. These courses are :-
·        General duty assistant
·        Pharmacy assistant
·        Phlebotomy Technician
·        Diabetic educator
·        Home health Aide
·        Emergency Medical technician
·        Vision technician

IV.            How many batches are running at present (June 2018)?

There are five batches running in the Apollo Medskills skill development training centre, Moosarambagh, Hyderabad.  There are two batches of Pharmacy assistant and Phlebotomy technician and one batch of general duty assistant.
   V.            What is the size and composition of the training group?

The classroom strength of each batch is generally twenty- five to thirty- five. There are two batches consists of fifty -nine trainees in the Pharmacy Assistant. Out of fifty-nine trainees, twenty-five trainees are boys and rest thirty-four are girls. Two batches of Phlebotomy technician having sixty-four trainees. Out of sixty-four trainees, seven trainees are boys rest are girls. One batch of general duty assistant has thirty trainees. All the trainees of general duty assistant are girl.

     The duration of the course is three months. Every three months fresh batch of different trades         commences in the institution. After completion of the courses, the institution helps trainees in getting employment in health sector.
VI.            What is the selection process of the trainees for admission in the institution?

There are four steps involved in the selection process of the trainees for admission in the institution. These steps are :-

  Filed registration form
  Aptitude test
 Application form
 Documents verification
VII.            What is the quality of the trainees group? How is their morale towards the training programme?

Every batch has three kinds of trainees. Few of them are good, most of them are average and few of them are below average. The institution tries to keep them motivated throughout the course.
VIII.            Do the trainees share any personal problems to you or any other staffs? If yes, how do you tackle it?

As per Centre head of the institution, generally trainees share their personal problems with wardens and that level only they get counseling and required support.
IX.             Do you find any trainee difficult to handle. If yes, what do you do to change the behavior?

According to centre head, sometimes one or two trainees of a batch creates trouble on some issues , then trainees are counseled and issues are resolved in smooth way.
   X.             Do all trainees complete the course on time?

All the trainees who undergo various training programmes and courses generally complete it on time.
XI.            What is the number of trainees passed out from the institution?

Up to June 2018, the number of enrolled trainees was 876. Out of 876 trainees, 91 trainees dropped out of the course. The rest 785 trainees completed the course.
XII.            The Numbers of trainees drop out from the course. Reason of drop out?

Ninety-one (91) trainees dropped out of the course for various reasons. The reasons of trainees drop out are given below-
High expectation in Placements (Salary wise / work place choice etc.)
Due to health reasons
Unable to Adopt in new environment
Some marriage issues
Selection in Government  Jobs / Ambition to Join Government Job not Private sector Job
Family problems 
XIII.            What is the number of trainees working in different organization?

According to Centre head, six hundred thirty (630) trainees who passed out from the institution are working in different organizations of health sector.  The name of some organizations are - Apollo Pharmacy ,Med plus ,Call health, Rainbow ,Partha dental ,Clove dental ,Health heal ,Zoi hospital Gland pharmacy etc.
XIV.            Do you get any feedback of passed out trainees of your institution from employers?

The centre head gets the feedback of passed out trainees from the employers. As per centre head, the employers say Apollo Med Skills students are disciplined, professional and overall good employee (Apollo Pharmacy, Med plus, Callhealth.etc)
XV.            Do passed out trainees contact you /institution for any reason?

The passed out trainees contact the centre head / institution for various reasons like re-employment, certificates, testimonials and suggestions for career growth. 
XVI.             What kind of support system institution provides to the passed out trainees.

Passed out trainees are given time-to-time counseling for their career growth in health sector.
XVII.            How many staffs are working in the training centre? Do you think numbers of staffs are adequate?

There are twenty-four staffs working in the training centre. The designation of staffs and their numbers are given below-
Center Heads -1
Mobilizers -2
Counselors - 3
Wardens -3
Trainers - 11
Quality -1
Security and housekeeping – 3

According to Centre head, to run training centre smoothly the number of staffs are adequate.


XVIII.            How do you supervise / monitor the staffs of the training institution?

Daily monitoring .Mobilizers are given targets in field and they report on daily basis.
Counselors
They work in same office as centre head. Sometimes centre head gives counseling tips to them.
Wardens
They report daily basis about hostel issues
Trainers
Monitored by CCTV installed in every classroom .The centre head gives suggestions if he observers any gaps on the part of trainers.
Security and Housekeeping 
Centre Head checks every day about cleaning, security and other related issues and if found any mistakes/ negligence, they are told to take corrective measures.

XX.            Do you face any problem / difficulties in running the training institution? How do you handle it?

The centre head does not find any problems in running the centre smoothly.

XXI.             How many batches and courses this training institution can run in present infrastructure. How do you find your training institution – underutilized / comfortable running / over utilized?
          According to centre head, the centre is running comfortably.

XXII.            Any suggestions / comments / remarks

At present the training centre is offering training programme to unskilled youth under the DDUGKY programme of Government of India. According to centre head, DDUGKY is very useful for unemployed rural youth. The centre head feels it is the duty of the institution to mould unskilled youths into skilled workers with good training and placement so that it will help the trainee’s family and rural economy as well.
