Project Work VIII- Responses of questionnaire from Trainees


       I.            Responses of questionnaire from Trainees:-

Age:-

The age group of trainees who responded the questionnaire is between eighteen to twenty-nine (18-29) years. Sixty-two (62) respondents are in eighteen to twenty (18-20) age group, out of them, fifty-three (53) are   female and nine (9) are male . Thirty-three respondents (33) respondents are in twenty-one to twenty-five (21-25) age groups. In this age group, ten (10) trainees are male and twenty-three (23) are female. The rest three (3) trainees are in twenty-six to thirty (26-30) age group, all three trainees are female .The details of age group of trainees who responded the questionnaire is given below in tabular form :-

    II.            Gender: - Ninety-eight (98) trainees who are undergoing training in the training institution responded the questionnaire. Out of ninety-eight respondents, nineteen (19) are male and rest seventy-nine (79) are female.

 III.            Annual Family Income :-

The annual family incomes of all trainees are below Rs 100,000. The annual family income of fifty-one (51) is  fifty thousand and below whereas rest forty-seven (47) trainees’ family income is between above fifty thousand to one lakh. The details of annual family income of trainees are given below-

IV.            Educational qualifications

Out of 98 trainees, six (6.12%) trainees are tenth pass, forty-nine (50%) are intermediate, forty-two (42.86%) are graduate and one trainee (1.02%) is postgraduate.

   V.            What you were doing before joining the course?

Out of ninety-eight respondents, five (5.10%) were doing part time job of teacher in private nursery, play school and primary school. Seventy (71.44%) respondents had just finished their study (Intermediate/ Graduation) and were looking for job opportunity. Thirteen (13.26%) respondents were preparing for competitive examination for government jobs from last two-three years. Ten (10.20%) respondents were searching for job in their local area, they were not preparing for any competitive examination.

VI.            Why did you join the course?

Out of ninety-eight (98) respondents, sixty-three (64.4%) joined the training programme to get a job. Thirty (30.6%) respondents joined the training programme to get a job in health sector. Three (3.06%) respondents joined the training programme to learn about heath issues. One (1.02%) respondent joined the training programme to settle in life and one (1.02%) respondent joined the course to serve the patient and poor people of society.


VII.            What are your expectations from the training?

All the trainees would like to learn the trade skills and English and soft skills as much they can so that they can work properly in the health sector. The expectations of all the trainees are to get a job after completion of training.

VIII.            Were you familiar with computer and tablet before joining the course?

 Sixty-five (66.33 %) trainees were not familiar with computer and tablets, whereas thirty-three (33.67 %) trainees were familiar with computer and tablets though they had just basic knowing of operating these gadgets.


IX.              Are you comfortable in using computer and tablets?

 Eighty-five (86.8%) trainees are comfortable in using computer and tablets. The rest thirteen (13.2%) trainees, who are first time user of computer and tablet, are not comfortable in using computer and tablet.

   X.             How do you find course / training materials? Are you able to understand the language / description / procedure without any difficulty?

 Seventeen (17.35 %) trainees feel that training material is easy to understand. They do not find any difficulties in language, description of the training material. Seventy-nine (80.61 %) trainees understand the training material with classroom and practical support. Two (2.04%) trainees find training material difficult to understand.

XI.              Do you need trainers support in understanding the training material? If yes, up to what extent?

Seventy-nine (80.6 %) trainees feel that trainers support is essential in the training material. Without trainers they will not be able to understand the complete course material .Fifteen (15.3%) trainees need from 50 %-80 % support in understanding training material and practical procedure. Four (4.1%) trainees feel that they need little support in understanding training material.

XII.             Are trainers easy to follow?

 Ninety-six (97.96%) trainees feel that trainers are easy to follow. Two (2.04%) find difficulty in understanding the trainer’s classroom and practical session.

XIII.            Do you read your training material first then attend class or learn the topic in class first then read the training material?

 Ninety-four (95.9 %) trainees first attend the class then they read the training material whereas four (4.1%) trainees read training material before attending the class. They again read the training material after attending the class.

XIV.             Is course material useful during the training?

 All (100 %) the trainees feel that training material is useful in training. According to them training material is very useful in learning trade related skills as well as English and soft skills.

XV.             Are the trainers attentive to your needs?

All (100%) the trainees feel that trainers are attentive to their needs. Trainers encourage trainees to share any doubts or training related problems. They help in all possible ways to trainees.
 
XVI.            Are you able to do practical activities (that has been taught or demonstrated) without any support or supervision?

Seventy (71.4%) trainees feel that they are able to do practical activities without any support or supervision whereas twenty-eight (28.6%) feel that they need support or supervision in carrying out practical activities perfectly.

XVII.             How effective this training is for you? Do you find any change in you? (Knowledge, Skill, behavior, attitude, experience etc)

All the respondents feel that after the joining the training programme they became aware of importance of hygiene, health, career, communication, computer, etc and they feel that these skills are not only essential for job but for leading a better and dignified life.

All the respondents feel that their knowledge of English and computer improved. They are more familiar with computer and they work on computer without any inhibitions. They are using English term of all medical equipment and becoming familiar of medical jargons. Their listening / understanding of English language have improved and they do English speaking practice with batch mates.

All the respondents feel that they have learnt many new things related to domain /trade skills. They are gaining confidence in practical works.
In the responses of questionnaire, fifty-nine (60.2%) respondents have shared their experience that earlier they were shy, they had stage fear and fear of communicating with strangers but after joining the training programme and attending skills classes, they have become more confident, fearless and motivated. Every day they address the class, interact with batch mates and do not feel shy in asking any doubts or questions in the classroom or laboratory.

Forty-nine (50) respondents feel that they learnt many things like time management, group living and facing interviews. They are now more disciplined than earlier and following the rule & regulations and timings of the training centre strictly.
The training centre conducts cultural activities, co-curriculum activities. The respondents feel that participation in such activities improve their personality and create positive atmosphere among them.

All the respondents feel that they have become positive thinker. They are sanguine that they would get the opportunity to work in the heath sector once the training is over.

XVIII .  How do you find your training schedule?

The responses of the respondents are given below in table and bar chart.

Ninety-one (92.86%) trainees feel that training schedule is comfortable whereas three (3.06%) trainees feel that training feels a bit rigorous and four (4.08%) feel it rigorous/ hectic.
